Assortment Planning Solution Expert

Our client is a leader in Inventory Optimization solutions for retailers. We have a dedicated product team which always seeks for improvement. We are looking to add an "Assortment Planning Solution Expert."

To strengthen our competitiveness in the US market and ensure our products’ screen designs and process flows align with market expectations, we are seeking a senior-level consultant for a

project-based engagement.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of how competing software tools are designed and developed, direct experience with retail planning process flows and screen detail levels, and a strong understanding of US retail clients’ needs and practices.

Main Responsibilities:

• Share insights into how process flows and screen designs are structured in MAP, MFP, and Buying Planning tools.

• Provide benchmarks on the types of screens competitors use, their level of detail, and how screens should logically follow each other.

• Advise on US retail clients’ process flows, screen preferences, and critical needs.

• Support Invent’s product team with knowledge transfer and benchmarking.

• Conduct remote workshops with internal teams to transfer knowledge and provide strategic guidance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in the design or development of MAP, MFP, and Buying Planning software tools.

• Strong expertise in process flows, screen hierarchy, and user experience (UX/UI).

• Direct experience with US retail planning practices.

• Senior-level ability to provide strategic consulting and guidance.

• Excellent communication skills with a structured approach to knowledge sharing.

Engagement Terms

• Project-based consultancy (initial focus on know-how transfer).

• Remote work preferred.

• Workshops as needed.

Preferred Profile

• A market expert familiar with competing tools’ screen structures and process flows who can transfer this knowledge to Invent’s team.

• Not expected to provide hands-on product development at this stage; strategic direction and knowledge transfer are the primary goals.

• Able to clearly communicate US retail client usage patterns, workflows, and expectations.
