Forward Deployed Engineer - Agentic AI
Job Description
We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer - Agentic AI for our client, a leading technology consulting firm.
This role will work directly with client teams to design, customize, and deploy advanced AI-powered applications using Generative AI, LLMs, RAG systems, and agentic AI frameworks. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in fast-paced environments, translating ambiguous business needs into production-ready technical solutions, and collaborating closely with product, program, and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the solution design for complex data and AI problems, from discovery to technical blueprint.
Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
Design and deliver working prototypes within short timeframes, often from days to weeks.
Build production-ready AI-powered applications, not just proof-of-concept prototypes.
Design, build, and deploy AI agents and multi-agent systems to automate complex workflows.
Develop reusable agent skills and agentic pipelines.
Implement and extend Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and clients to connect AI agents with enterprise tools, APIs, and data sources.
Integrate LLMs, RAG systems, and ML models into production workflows.
Design evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and monitoring pipelines to ensure agent reliability and safety.
Develop intuitive front-end interfaces and dashboards for business users.
Create technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, data flow maps, API contracts, and solution briefs.
Communicate architecture decisions, trade-offs, and delivery approaches to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Work closely with product, program, and engineering teams to co-define problems and deliver solutions.
Mentor junior engineers and share best practices in agentic development, prompt design, and rapid delivery.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Python programming and backend development.
Strong experience with Large Language Models, Generative AI, and agentic AI technologies.
Experience with data science and machine learning, including feature engineering and model evaluation.
Proficiency in SQL and Bash scripting.
Ability to design scalable, modular, reliable, and secure systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with ambiguous requirements.
Experience working directly with clients or business stakeholders.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
Nice to Have
Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
Experience with RAG architectures, AI agent frameworks, evaluation harnesses, and monitoring tools.
Front-end or dashboard development experience.
Previous consulting or client-facing delivery experience.
