Senior Data Scientist

On behalf of our client in Turkey's manufacturing sector, we're hiring a Senior Data Scientist to transform operational data into tangible business value. In this role, you'll kickstart the company's AI journey from the ground up, beginning with quick-win use cases and progressively advancing toward scalable, long-term solutions.

YOUR MISSION

You'll work closely with business units to identify priorities and shape the AI roadmap. Starting with high-impact, short-term projects, you'll gradually expand into more comprehensive initiatives.

Analytics & Model Development

• Develop forecasting models for production output and demand prediction

• Design and implement predictive maintenance solutions

• Build sustainability metrics and ESG tracking systems

• Create optimization solutions for multi-site operations

Technical Infrastructure & Implementation

• Establish the company's AI infrastructure from scratch

• Set up MLOps processes to ensure smooth model deployment to production

• Collaborate with engineering teams to design robust data pipelines

• Define technical standards for AI initiatives

Continuous Growth

• Research and adapt new technologies and methodologies for the organization

• Coordinate with external consultants when needed

• Communicate findings and recommendations to business stakeholders

Your first months will focus on understanding operations, identifying quick wins, and developing an AI strategy aligned with business objectives.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

Core Competencies:

• Minimum 4 years of post-graduation experience in data science / ML

• Self-driven AI/ML exploration during university, whether academic research, competitions, or side projects

• Strong command of Python ecosystem (pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch)

• Advanced SQL and data manipulation skills

• Experience developing and deploying models in production environments

Valuable Assets:

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Knowledge of time series analysis and forecasting methodologies

• Familiarity with optimization algorithms and operations research

• Exposure to LLM/GenAI technologies and their practical applications

• Background in manufacturing or production systems
